WE RESET

“Firewater”

12” Vinyl

SIDE A: “ATOM SPHERE”

SIDE B: “TURING MACHINE”

review

Out now We Reset’s new 12 inches, their third EP on Wonder Wet Records. Techno flow along with deep atmospheres are melted together with jazzy elements. Hard not to follow them blindly into this intriguing musical experience.

Atom sphere A side is a psychedelic trip based on an original rhythmic interlocking in which electronic and instrumentals jazzy groove elements are melted together. From low frequencies through the use of a distorted double bass’s string the whole construction is colored with pure electronic shades with a very dark vibe.

Different approach for the B side: ” Turing Machine.” Less experimental, more techno flavor. The way the synthesizers are used makes the sound very warm. And the half studio / half live production, where rhythmic interventions are played and not programmed, brings us back to a human feeling. This track stands out the nature of this strong duo, made up of a skilled programmer and producer and a drummer.

The duo We Reset manages to blend various musical influences, to pull off an unconventional sound in which the rhythmic and tonal joints are never common.

MAURIZIO CASCELLA

“Oil on canvas”

12” Vinyl

SIDE A: “OLD ROSE”

SIDE B: “BLACK OF MARS”

review

Maurizio Cascella’s debut on Wonder Wet Records, a first single with an unarguably techno flavor. Artist formerly known for his past productions with Elettronica Romana, label which marked a specific period in history in the capital, through a style and sound that has seen performers like Brando Lupi, Attilio Tucci, Donato Dozzy and Giorgio Gigli.

Founder of Concrete Records, Cascella keeps his path through a sophisticated, no ordinary sound.

A side – Old Rose: it is distinguished by the constantly present rhythmic, sometimes experimental without ever losing the groove, which supports the architecture of the track allowing the creativity to the bass and leads frames.

B side – Black of Mars: markedly techno sound and a rhythmic construction , it takes you into an hypnotic and enveloping world, being able to express a very contemporary way of making electronic music.

SIDE B: “ORION 314”

review

After releasing one of the most memorable records of the year in 2013, the roman Dj returns with another amazing piece of work.

The Age, on the A side, is an ambient track with psychedelic Rock and New Age Music incursions, showing once again his love for Downtempo stuff.

Orion 314, on the B side,is a slow and straight deep Techno train that will not disappear all lovers of this kind of sound.

ALTARBOY

“Slow ghost”

12” Vinyl

SIDE A: “THE MARATHON THING”

SIDE B: “BLACKMAIL”

review

Fifth single from the duo Altarboy. Side A: “The marathon thing” is slow and esoteric track with a long break in which the roman producers rise and fall of bpm. The song takes you on a world reminiscent of memory lane’s horror movies. The B-side “Blackmail” is a techno bomb with references to the early 90s. Wonder Wet could not be more clear than that. The sound of this label is solid as marble.

“Cosmic Kabul”

12” Vinyl

SIDE A: “COSMIC KABUL”

SIDE B: “WARM REACTION”

review

Wonder Wet Records is proud to announce the return of the production of one of the most ‘eclectic and respected Italian Dj’s, Claudio Fabrianesi. Esteemed in his hometown Rome, where he plays every Saturday for Alchemy at the Vicious Club. Two stylistically opposite songs, but with one thing in common: the quality.

Cosmic Kabul, on side A, is a pearl for any cosmic genre lover, the track contains multiple musical influences and people will talk about it for a long time.

Warm Reaction, on the B side, is a deep journey  into a more mental techno, but with also groove.

A record that will make the difference, an absolute must!

ALTARBOY

“Lazy ass”

12” Vinyl

SIDE A: “LAZY ASS”

SIDE B: “SOMETHING LIKE THAT”

review

Check this out …before going on holiday here it comes! for the most sophisticate clubbers,  a new Pearl signed WWR, the current most ambiguous label .

Lazy but not dead, when the duo Altarboy moves its ass there’s no crap to cut.

The Synth programmings on this 12 INCH is pure analogical sound. The lows on the two tracks draw the rhythm with an able mix of Roland, Korg e Moog’s timbre. The rest comes around and sounds great. The detune on the second part of Lazy Ass is for real experts.

Go rejoin yourself with the well done House.

CAMILLA GREEN

“Women of paradise lost”

12” Vinyl

SIDE A: “LOST LOVE”

SIDE B: “XO”

review

Breathing the air of late spring in Rome, the climate is one of wonderful sunsets and open-air dance floors. This is the picture that Camilla Green capture in their proverbial camera, a collaboration with “Wild Cat”, which started with “Altarboy” of the album “Left Below” (WWR004.)

The harmony between the line of 303 and the pad synth on “Lost Love” evokes intense emotions and opens up in a revolving way.

The track “XO” emerges techno with the beauty of its essential components:  the fast-paced beat, the hypnotic samples, the wise use of the acid sound that never sound noisy.

The warm voice of Wild Cat in both the tracks will envelope you. Let inhibitions go and dance. The higher powers say you’ll need to stock up on these beautiful pictures and memories of late spring to help you get through another cold winter.

ALTARBOY

“Left below”

12” Vinyl

SIDE A: “SLOW RELIEF”

SIDE B: “STEAM”

review

A crossover between pop, house/techno and new wave is the dress of the fourth wwr 004 chapter. We think is useless to say anything about the new release of the duo Altarboy.

Fortunatelly in music matters what do you feel, not what we say. Listen is the best way to tell if you like it. We like it … very much!

CAMILLA GREEN

“Out of business”

12” Vinyl

SIDE A: “OUT OF BUSINESS”

SIDE B: “COCKPIT”

review

Third release of the new label out of Rome, Wonder Wet Records. We are proud to announce the debut Ep of Camilla Green releasing her first Techno Acid project. The new EP, Out of Business, seamlessly combines: past, present and even future at the same time, some with a perfect chemistry. Acid sounds, wet and dry, come from the forward, lifting, opening and walking on sequences of hypnotic rhythms. What fun! She knows how to make people dance; she conducts the stage as true connoisseurs. She knows where to take you. Good, good, good. So much stuff…

WE RESET

“Gropius”

12” Vinyl

SIDE A: “MELODY”

SIDE B: “YOU”

review

A Very High Quality production for Wonder Wet Records.

On the second release, We Reset, the DJ/Producers duo from the capital, well known for their overwhelming live sets, makes it’s debut.

SIDE A-Melody: a real jewel of electronic music. With its glitch and pad intro, worthy of the best ambient atmospheres, it keeps the tension high, evolving with a straight groove were kick and bass perfectly match together.

Creating the right space for the melody, the track sweetly flows. Almost a movie soundtrack to dance to at the deepest and darkest after parties of your metropolis.

SIDE B-RESET YOU: The release’s other perfect half. The right track if you are into serious tech house. The Hypnotic atmosphere is supported by a skillful side-chain. The voice sample keeps perfect tension without being too bulky. The rhythm climbs up to the ride entrance, maintaining it’s presence in the middle break as well. At this point the track is already playing: from now you have to raise the stakes on your dj set, you can’t go back.

ALTARBOY

“Who is who”

12” Vinyl

SIDE A: “CRAP”

SIDE B: “DISTASTE”

review

Debut release for duo Altarboy and Wonder Wet Records which are together two of the best recognized realities in Roma. They show up at your door without knocking, stepping up with an excellent single. Sophisticated and intelligent sounds are their unique trademark. Deep atmosphere on a solid punchy groove. Warm bassline sticks together with rhythm and fine analogue synth. Caspy cousins get fun with their vox samplers on both tracks. This single is definitely for smart dancefloor. For sure you will re-listen it the day after and again and again.. Really well done!
